One of the biggest frustrations I hear when it comes to using social media for your brand or business is that it takes too much time!
BUT, with social media being one of the most cost-effective ways to promote your business, it would only make sense that you have to put in some effort.
The key is to be organized; I wanted to share my content creation tips with you to spend less time creating content and more time focusing on your business's money-generating activities.

Tip 1: Make use of a content calendar. With my content calendar, I list all key events, content categories, a list of launches or campaigns, and a list of my key brand messages (content you need to promote consistently). If you would love to make use of my content calendar, feel free to download my FREE content calendar: https://bit.ly/3m41V5M
Tip 2: Do your content research! I have found that if I don't do this, I create posts on topics I want to talk about and not necessarily what my audience wants to know about. I have a couple of ways I do my content research:
Website: Answer the public, Quora, Reddit, Google, YouTube, Udemy
I ask my audience
I have a look at which questions my audiences are asking on my competitor pages.
Tip 3: Do hashtag research; I recommend creating 5 - 9 hashtag groups ready to go. Ensure that your hashtags are niche related, not overexposed and that they are hashtags that your ideal audience will be looking for.

Tip 4: Create Canva templates for your graphics. I have about 35 templates that I can use with my brand colours and brand fonts. I then only have to update the images and text to use this in a post.
Tip 5: Planning content ahead has been such a lifesaver! So many times, I have just not felt inspired to create content. Being consistent is key to showing up and creating brand awareness. Did you know that you can plan content for 1 - 6 months?
My scheduling tool of choice is Later.com, and one way I love creating my content is by batching my content. If you have your content categories, you can allocate a category to a day. For example, if Mondays are for social media myths, you know to create content for the month, you need 4 posts to tick off Mondays. If you are not familiar with batch creating content, you can start with doing 1 week's worth of posts and then work your way to 1 month and then 2 months and so forth.
If content creation is too much, look at repurposing content. No, I am not saying you should literally copy and paste a post from a couple of weeks ago. What I am saying is you should give your content more millage. Take this blog; for example, this was created from a YouTube video I did (yip, I took the plunge and recorded my first video https://bit.ly/2UxUTtK); I have turned it into a blog, email, and snippets for social media.
If you have tried these steps and feel like content creation still takes up too much time and energy...DELEGATE! Whether this is the actual content creation part or another task so that you can free up time to create your content.
