The never-ending quest to get more engagement, and trust me; you are not the only one asking this question. As a business, you look further into your performance metric, track comments, share saves, story views, and even DM conversations. This will help you understand how your content is performed. It is only normal that we start looking at how we can improve engagement on our feeds. In this blog, I will share some tips on how to increase your Instagram engagement in 2021.
The first tip is to create savable content; with likes being hidden on posts, you must create more content that encourages your audience to tap the save button. Savable content is content that your ideal audience will want to revisit at a later stage. Carousels work very well with sharable posts and can share tips and create a mini-blog.
Using Instagram stories stickers to start conversations is a great way to get your audience to chat and share their opinions and experiences with you. But remember to keep it simple.
You need always to be testing new content types and analyze the results. Not sure where to start? Why not test memes, quotes, user-generated content, mini-infographics, selfies. If you are a little braver, I would recommend video content like Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, and IGTV.
You don’t always have to be formal; add an element of fun! Add elements of humor and pop culture references to your posts by adding a meme, use AR filters on your stories, or add a GIF. Just remember, you still want it to look and feel like your brand.
Create sharable content, think of infographics, content that shocks or spark intrigue, fun memes, or relatable quotes.
Share your brand story! People love learning about the people or person behind the brand. Don’t let your brand not be relatable.
Share stats that your audience will love; this will help drive engagement.
Instagram LOVES like really LOVES video content, so make more of that! This includes video posts, IGTV, going live, and, yes, Instagram Reels.
Have a look at your analytics and ensure you post at best possible time for your brand. You do not want to limit the engagement coz you are posting at the wrong time.
A solid hashtag strategy will help increase your engagement. It is important to understand which hashtags are driving more people to your posts.
Instagram has been so competitive in 2020, and I believe 2021 will be no different! Incorporate these tips in your next strategy and see how it affects your engagement.
